Review of ES Advantage Discount Program

If you are like me when you are on the road you are looking for the best discounts on fuel you can get. We all know that some driveway companies have stronger discounts than others, but even the strongest ones tend to fall short. Especially considering that rates to move units are stalled and everything around us has gone up in price.

I heard about ES Advantage around a year ago but honestly like others I just get so busy that I completely forgot to get an account set up. What this program does is gives you diesel fuel discounts at truck stops around the country. In addition there are discounts on many other truck related items such as tires. and shop discounts. One of the other big perks is you become platinum status with Loves . This means FREE showers, refills, and you earn 3 points per dollar. , They advertise their fuel savings at .55-.76 per gallon but I put fuel in at a .86 savings.

Using the ES Advantage app you have a few options. You can fund you account with a credit card (with a 3.5% fee) or you can do a bank transfer and only pay .5%. Credit card generally gets your account funded in 26 hours (although it was 8-10 when I did it ) and bank transfer can take several days. There is also a $2.50 swipe fee per transaction. I gave a lot of thought to these fees before I started using the card and my math says that just the free showers and refills with loves more than covered those fees.

The ES Advantage App is simple to use and well laid out. On the map page it will show the stations in your area and what the price/discount is . The Community page tells gives you access to tire discounts, shop discounts, and more. the Load Funds tab is exactly what it sounds like. put in your info and fund you account. And last but not least is the Dashboard. It shows you your current balance, fuel savings, and recent transactions.

Now I will come out and say it. This card is not going to be for everyone. If you are a driver that does not worry about their advance to get the vehicle moved this is for you. If you live off your advances from truck to truck this may not be the best option for you. I only say this because it does have to be funded prior to it being used and as mentioned above that does take a little time.
